The National Events Center, in collaboration with the Digital Entrepreneurship Center and the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at), has launched a joint national initiative to enhance digital innovation at the National Events Center under the name “EventTech.” The initiative aims to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem within the events sector and unlock innovative digital opportunities and solutions that contribute to achieving the Center’s strategic objectives and ambitions.
The initiative seeks to promote a culture of digital innovation within the National Events Center through a distinguished national effort, while fostering integration among government entities in line with Saudi Vision 2030. It will also contribute to enabling and accelerating digital government transformation in the events sector with efficiency and effectiveness.
The initiative is expected to open a new and direct channel of engagement with the broader community to raise awareness of the events sector, while involving the public—particularly those interested—in identifying promising digital solutions to address sector challenges.
It also aims to create a unique collaborative experience with government entities by leveraging their expertise in the field of innovation.
As part of implementing the initiative, the National Events Center conducted workshops and brainstorming sessions to identify opportunities and challenges within the events sector. It also developed the “EventTech Experts Series” program as the first output of the initiative, in partnership with the Digital Entrepreneurship Center (CODE), which provides full support for the execution of such programs.
The EventTech Experts Series program includes three panel discussions: the first focuses on the future of technology in the events sector; the second explores opportunities and challenges in event technology; and the third highlights investment opportunities in the sector. The program will also feature promotional presentations by leading and successful companies specializing in event technology.
Registration for the program will open this week to entrepreneurs, investors, and individuals interested in participating.
