The National Events Center is marking four years since its establishment, achieving a series of milestones that have significantly elevated the events sector in the Kingdom into a leading and promising industry that enhances quality of life and contributes to the growth of the local economy. These accomplishments have been realized with continuous and unlimited support from the Kingdom’s leadership, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Since its launch in 2020 through the end of last year, the Center’s ongoing efforts have supported events across the Kingdom, including major seasons, national calendars, and large-scale events, in partnership with public and private sector entities. It has also advanced the quality of services in the sector through continuous innovation and sustainable business development. The total number of visitors to events managed, executed, and supervised by the Center has exceeded 48 million.

The National Events Center has strengthened operational excellence in events, implemented effective financial policies and procedures, and enhanced spending efficiency, in line with its role in developing and empowering the sector and improving its regulatory environment. The Center has supported all seasons and events and established a Seasons Operations Center that brings together stakeholders involved in daily operations to ensure continuity, success, and efficient event delivery.

The Center has launched a range of enablers and initiatives to support its core mission of enhancing investor experience, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, and enabling the private sector to deliver major events. It has also prioritized event safety by conducting more than 250 pre-event security plans and 250 traffic management plans for event locations, in addition to ensuring mobile network coverage across all events to enhance visitor engagement and deliver a seamless experience.

Over the past four years, the Center has supported the delivery of inclusive experiences catering to all visitor segments. It has contributed to the review and development of more than 290 events, attracted 12 intellectual property owners, and enhanced visitor experiences by reviewing visitor plans and interactive maps. The Center has also issued more than 400 reports and developed over 50 dashboards to document event data and leverage insights for future planning.

The National Events Center has launched several initiatives, products, and platforms, most notably the Saudi Events application, which has facilitated access to ticketing platforms for more than 750 events and supported various campaigns across the Kingdom, reaching more than 3 million users. The “Enjz” platform has contributed to issuing more than 66,000 visas in record time, granting over 770 fireworks permits, booking more than 270 locations for seasons, and securing over 80 event sites.

The Center has also opened opportunities for talented Saudi nationals through the Matloob initiative and platform, which has attracted more than 6,000 registered users who have actively participated in events and seasons. In addition, it has engaged recent graduates through the Event Pioneers initiative, which aims to train and qualify participants through one-year on-the-job training, enabling their integration into the events sector and the labor market.
