As part of its efforts to empower all segments of society and economic sectors to participate in events, the National Events Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Social Development Bank to provide suitable sales outlets for productive families offering food and beverage services during Saudi events and seasons, in addition to exchanging data related to areas of cooperation, with the possibility of expanding collaboration into additional fields.
The memorandum, signed recently, was represented on behalf of the National Events Center by Eng. Faisal Bafarat, Managing Director the National Events Center, while the Social Development Bank was represented by its CEO, Mr. Ibrahim bin Hamad Al Rashid. The Bank serves as the official umbrella entity for productive families in the Kingdom pursuant to Council of Ministers Resolution No. (92) dated 7/2/1441H.
The memorandum aims to establish frameworks for cooperation between the two parties in areas of mutual interest and according to the responsibilities assigned to each side.
Under the scope of the agreement, the Center will cooperate in providing sales outlets for productive families and coordinating the issuance of Social Development Bank licenses as a prerequisite for benefiting from sales opportunities, all through the “Matloob” platform.
The memorandum also includes cooperation in organizing and monitoring participating productive families through regular inspection tours conducted by representatives from both parties to ensure the delivery of products and services that meet the expectations of Saudi Seasons visitors.
Additionally, the Social Development Bank will register productive families and issue certifications for food and beverage providers before they apply for accreditation certificates through the Matloob platform.
The agreement further addressed mechanisms for distributing productive families across targeted locations, as well as replacing or reassigning licensed food and beverage providers participating in Saudi events and seasons. It also includes cooperation in supplying the Center with schedules for inspection visits and preparing inspector data in advance for approval, in addition to conducting joint monitoring and inspection tours for sales outlets covered under the memorandum.
It is worth noting that the National Events Center, established by a Council of Ministers decision, recently launched the “Matloob” platform, which aims to facilitate and organize the participation of individuals and companies in Saudi events and seasons. Productive families may also access the National Platform for Productive Families and benefit from its services, as financing productive families is considered one of the Social Development Bank’s primary objectives to enhance their efficiency, productivity, skills, and contribution to the national economy.
