The National Events Center celebrated World Procurement Day, underscoring the importance of this vital sector as a key pillar in enabling entities to achieve their objectives, while enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability.
This celebration highlights the strategic role of procurement as a driving force in improving spending efficiency, maximizing value, and building partnerships—thereby supporting institutional excellence and keeping pace with continuous development aspirations across various sectors.
In this context, the Center organized two specialized workshops in collaboration with the Expenditure & Projects Efficiency Authority and the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, aiming to develop practices and raise awareness in the field of government procurement.
The first workshop, titled “Transforming Government Procurement Towards Greater Efficiency and Sustainable Impact,” addressed key developments in procurement transformation, while the second workshop, “Introduction to Government Procurement Regulations,” provided an overview of regulatory frameworks—enabling entities to adopt best practices and achieve higher levels of efficiency and quality.
These workshops reflect the Center’s commitment to advancing the procurement ecosystem and strengthening integration with relevant entities, contributing to improved performance and sustainable impact, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
It is worth noting that the National Events Center, which is organizationally linked to the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, is dedicated to supporting and developing the events sector in the Kingdom by enhancing service quality and launching impactful initiatives—contributing to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030 goals, improving quality of life, and reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a global destination for events.
