The National Events Center (NEC) has launched its national initiative to promote digital innovation in the events sector under the name EventTech initiative. The initiative is organized in collaboration with the Digital Entrepreneurship Center (CODE) and the Monsha’at, aiming to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem within the events industry and unlock innovative digital opportunities aligned with NEC’s strategic objectives. The initiative is being held at the Digital Entrepreneurship Center headquarters in Riyadh.
The program includes workshops and brainstorming sessions designed to identify opportunities and challenges within the sector. It also features the “Event Tech Experts Series” program—one of the initiative’s key outputs—developed in partnership with CODE, which provides comprehensive support for delivering programs targeting investors, entrepreneurs, experts, and stakeholders in the events industry.
The first day’s agenda includes a panel discussion on the future of technology in the events sector, preceded by a presentation outlining the regulatory frameworks and legislation governing the industry.
The initiative aims to foster a culture of digital innovation within NEC through a distinctive national effort, while strengthening integration among government entities in line with Saudi Vision 2030. It also contributes to accelerating digital government transformation in the events sector efficiently and effectively, enabling the creation of unique and forward-looking experiences through collaboration and the adoption of advanced innovation practices.
