The National Events Center signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, February 11, with the Health Support Services Center of the Ministry of Health, aimed at promoting a culture of blood donation and providing opportunities for visitors of major seasons and events across the Kingdom to donate.
Under the agreement, which will be implemented by a joint working team over a one-year period, the two parties will collaborate on organizing awareness campaigns to encourage blood donation during major seasons and events. The partnership will also include hosting experts to deliver specialized workshops across various fields, as well as the on-ground activation of blood bank centers within event locations to receive donors.
The MoU aligns with the National Events Center’s efforts, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, to strengthen social responsibility, awareness, and public education during large-scale events that attract wide segments of society. Mobile blood donation units equipped with advanced technologies will be deployed to ensure the delivery of fast, integrated healthcare services for donors.
The initiative also aims to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and increase donor participation, as part of broader social responsibility efforts.
