The National Events Center has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University to strengthen collaboration in training and qualifying students and professionals in specialized fields of event management.
This agreement reflects the strategic commitment of both parties to support the pillars of Saudi Vision 2030 by localizing knowledge and developing national talent within the events sector. It aims to bridge academic outcomes with the evolving needs of the labor market in major events, ensuring the development of qualified national capabilities capable of leading this promising sector in line with international standards.
Under the MoU, The National Events Center will provide cooperative training opportunities for students across the Center and the wider events sector, share its industry expertise in accordance with applicable regulations, and collaborate on enhancing the skills of faculty members. The partnership also includes joint efforts in developing, reviewing, and aligning academic curricula related to the events sector with market needs, in addition to raising community awareness among students and graduates about event management.
The agreement outlines the role of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in organizing academic meetings, events, conferences, and workshops across research and educational fields, as well as joint activities between both entities. It also includes the exchange of knowledge resources, e-learning materials, and digital academic content, alongside faculty expertise exchange in accordance with relevant regulations. Furthermore, both parties will collaborate on developing the skills of National Events Center employees and professionals within the events sector, sharing data, conducting research, and designing joint training programs in event management.
This partnership goes beyond conventional collaboration, serving as a driving force to empower Saudi youth and prepare them to actively participate in the events management sector. By offering training opportunities and equipping students with essential knowledge and skills, it contributes to building a future-ready generation capable of supporting business development in the Kingdom and strengthening its position as a global destination for major events.
