The National Events Center (NEC) celebrated the graduation of a new cohort of participants from the Events Pioneers Program, comprising 15 participants from diverse academic backgrounds. The training program aims to qualify and develop young national talent within the events sector.
The program delivered more than 2,295 hours of specialized training over a 12-month period, covering multiple disciplines including event management, innovation, and financial analysis. It also featured four comprehensive training modules, in addition to a field visit to one of the world’s largest sporting events, providing participants with exposure to the best international practices in the events industry.
Participants completed over 25,000 hours of fieldwork, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world environments, significantly enhancing their experience and skillsets. The program also included six periodic evaluations, contributing to a knowledge development rate exceeding 142%.
The initiative is designed to strengthen national talent and prepare participants to meet the evolving needs of the sector. Notably, the employment rate among graduates reached 100%, reflecting the program’s effectiveness in aligning with labor market demands.
Participant satisfaction rates reached 90%, highlighting the quality of training and mentorship provided throughout the year by a team of highly experienced trainers with distinguished academic and professional backgrounds from leading institutions.
The Events Pioneers Program is one of NEC’s flagship initiatives aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at empowering young talent, enhancing their skills, and facilitating their entry into the workforce, while strengthening their contribution to the national economy.
