The “Event Tech Meetup 2025,” organized by the National Events Center at The Cultural House – Altaawun Public Library, hosted two panel discussions on Sunday, bringing together a distinguished group of experts, changemakers, government representatives, entrepreneurs specializing in artificial intelligence technologies, and specialists in data analysis, information management, and smart systems development.
The first session, titled “How Artificial Intelligence is Shaping the Future of Events in the Kingdom,” highlighted the significant transformation Saudi Arabia has achieved in adopting modern technologies over recent years — evolving from the use of traditional systems and software to advanced smart platforms and solutions. These advancements have contributed to improving operational efficiency and enhancing the overall experience for both visitors and organizers.
The session showcased practical examples of artificial intelligence applications in event organization, smart crowd management, personalized services, and real-time feedback analysis to improve the quality of experiences. It also explored the ability of these technologies to reduce operational costs and accelerate execution processes.
Additionally, the discussion addressed the role of artificial intelligence in supporting operational decision-making by helping organizers forecast demand, determine optimal scheduling for events, and efficiently allocate resources, ensuring smooth operations and seamless experiences while reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a regional hub for innovative events.
The second session, titled “Data Drives the Events Landscape,” focused on the strategic role of data in shaping the future of the events industry and its effectiveness in enabling fact-based decision-making, fostering innovation, and enhancing experiences.
Participants emphasized that optimal investment in data enables the effective utilization of artificial intelligence by transforming information into practical solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support the design of tailored events that accurately meet the needs of target audiences. They also noted that such investments provide organizations with a sustainable competitive advantage through faster responses to market changes, financial savings through automation, and the reduction of human errors.
The meetup serves as an interactive knowledge-sharing platform that brings together experts, innovators, and investors, contributing to the empowerment of national talent, strengthening collaboration across sectors, and reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a regional and global hub for innovative events.
