As part of its recreational programs for people with disabilities, Hayatona Recreational Association organized a visit to “City Walk,” one of the key destinations of Jeddah Season 2024, held this year under the slogan “Once Again”, in collaboration with the National Events Center. The initiative aimed to bring joy to the association’s members and beneficiaries with disabilities, along with their families.
The visit included tours across several attractions within “City Walk,” including the “Garden” area, viewing colorful fish displays, visiting the China zone, and enjoying the giant screen featuring video and music performances. Participants also explored the “New Cairo Nights” zone with its Egyptian-inspired atmosphere and roaming performances, in addition to enjoying amusement rides and experiencing “Lokanda of Happiness,” filled with entertaining and humorous adventures.
Chairwoman of Hayatona Recreational Association, Lina Hajar, emphasized the importance of such recreational programs, noting that they create ideal and inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities to integrate into society while enjoying the activities of Jeddah Season 2024 in a comfortable and entertaining environment.
She also expressed her appreciation to the Deputy Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of the National Events Calendar Committee for Jeddah Governorate for his guidance in organizing this initiative and facilitating visits for individuals with autism and people with disabilities during the season. She stated that the initiative reflects the Kingdom’s noble values and commitment to supporting this cherished segment of society, while also representing a successful example of collaboration between the public and private sectors in serving the community and promoting social responsibility.
The visit included the participation of beneficiaries with physical disabilities, visual impairments, autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairments, and Down syndrome. Alongside their families, the number of visitors reached nearly 70 participants, who enjoyed an evening filled with adventures, performances, and entertainment activities, concluding with group commemorative photos.
